Stable Q2 Business Performance, Paving the Way for Continued Growth
We had a stable close to our second quarter and I’d like to express my gratitude for your continued partnership and confidence in our business. As we’re entering the last sprint of the year, our key priority is to continue to focus on delivering on our promises to fulfill the needs of our customers and partners. Despite the many challenges we’ve continued to face this year including mounting inflationary pressures, I feel confident that we are on the path to secure sufficient supply and capacity to fuel the opportunities ahead of us. I am excited to continue to work together as we accelerate our growth in 2023.
A Run-Down of Sustainability Highlights
Sustainability is a core value of Avery Dennison. Besides guiding how we operate, sustainability helps drive the agenda for systemic improvement throughout the supply chain of our customers and how we can enable those improvements. We’re pleased to share that we’ve added new features to our atma.io connected product cloud that increase raw material traceability with sustainability insights, ensure better cost efficiency in food production and enable decarbonization use cases. You can read more about this fall release here.
Sustainability has also become paramount for beauty and personal care brands, retailers and, most importantly their end customers. The beauty industry is going through significant changes. Technology is at the heart of this transformation from supply-chain management to inventory visibility to richer consumer experiences. RFID tagging at the source enables item-level visibility, dramatically improving supply-chain transparency. What’s more, thanks to Digital Identification solutions, inventory accuracy increases to >95%, helping to reduce overproduction and unnecessary waste.
We are excited about these developments and the possibilities we continue to create to add true value to your business. I hope you enjoy this edition of Insights Quarterly. As always, if you have any feedback or questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.
Sincerely,
Francisco Melo
