Avery Dennison launches AD Maxdura® Flexible Laundry UHF Hard Tag designed for laundry management industry

MENTOR, Ohio — November 7, 2023 — Avery Dennison has today announced the launch of the AD Maxdura® Flexible Laundry UHF Hard Tag, designed specially for rough environmental conditions in the laundry management industry.

The structure, size and performance of the RFID hard tag meets industry requirements to speed up inventory processes for hotels, hospitals and restaurants.

Made from recycled polyester and with a thickness of 1.4mm, the compact tag supports enhanced garment classification and can contribute to the efficient usage of water and energy. Featuring a reinforced IC, the tag can survive detergents, 200 wash cycles of water immersion, up to 60 bars of pressure (the standard for industrial washing) and temperatures of up to 200°C. The tag offers an optimized reading distance of up to 10 meters and can be directly sewn onto sheets, garments and other laundry items.

By complying with all relevant industry standards (ISO 18000-63 and OEKO-TEX® Standard 100) and passing broad and strict quality tests for temperature, humidity and pressure resistance, the AD Maxdura® Flexible Laundry Tag is positioned to become the benchmark RFID tag in wet industry segments. It has been manufactured according to the industry’s highest quality standards, as certified by the European EPC Competence Center.
