Maxdura® Keg Embedded tags are Avery Dennison Smartrac’s solution for reliably identifying and tracking beverage kegs with polyurethane (PU) covers under bulk reading conditions. The UHF RFID tags are the result of an application-centric development procedure including practical tests in close cooperation with potential customers.

Maxdura® Keg Embedded tags come as printed circuit boards (PCB), and are perfectly suited for embedding or inserting into the PU cover. Carefully optimized for this environment, Maxdura® Keg PU offers superior reading characteristics that allow 100% reading rates even when palettes or truckloads with up to 50 kegs pass an UHF RFID gate.

Abolishing the need for welding, Maxdura® Keg Embedded tags are suitable for building into new kegs as well as for retrofitting existing ones. They are available as plain PCBs or equipped with mounting devices for diverse manufacturing or retrofitting processes.

Maxdura® Keg Embedded tags come equipped with Impinj Monza R6-P ICs that comply with EPC Class 1 Gen 2 and ISO 18000-6C standards and protocols, and meet industry demands by delivering unmatched read performance, data integrity and encoding speeds.
