Avery Dennison Smartrac’s Maxdura® Outdoor has been designed with a rugged construction for high durability for metallic surfaces. It offers excellent read range performance of over 10m in open-air environments for asset tracking applications, such as equipment, parts, containers, railway and warehouse components.

This RFID (UHF) hard tag, member of Avery Dennison Smartrac’s Maxdura product family is a passive, battery-less transponder equipped with Alien Higgs-3 IC, including 512-bit user memory.

It offers a flexible read/write range depending on the reader. Maxdura® Outdoor housing is made of ABS, fulfilling ingress protection IP68. Other plastic materials and colors are available upon request. It can be easily fixed with screws and alternatively it provides an adhesive tape on the backside for easy attachment for inhouse usage. Maxdura® Outdoor is also available for non-metallic applications.

Due to its excellent read range and high resistance, it is very well suited to tap the benefits of passive RFID in challenging outdoor environments for different industrial applications.
