Hal Hikita leads the group that manages the portfolio and lifecycle for Avery Dennison Smartrac's RFID and sensor products. Specifically, this group aligns product portfolio and business strategy; defines product roadmaps, requirements, and priorities; fosters and commercializes product innovations; and enables successful product launches and adoption. Prior to joining Avery Dennison, Hal served as Smartrac Technology's Senior VP of Global Product Management and Marketing for RFID products and IoT solutions.
Hal gained RFID and materials experience early in his career while serving as lead engineer for various commercial and advanced R&D programs at Boeing. After Boeing, Hal went on to serve in various leadership and management consulting roles related to high-tech product development, management, marketing and business development including product management lead for Dassault Systèmes' life and materials sciences division responsible for a portfolio of predictive and IoT solutions, and Chief Operating Officer/SVP for an early stage RFIC semiconductor company. Hal holds an MBA degree and an MSc in Aerospace Engineering, both from the University of Southern California.
