Omnichannel Forum keynote presentation to feature Bill Toney, vice president, Global Market Development, Avery Dennison RFID 

DUSSELDORF, GERMANY (March 6, 2017) – Avery Dennison Retail Branding and Information Solutions (RBIS) (NYSE: AVY), a global leader in apparel and footwear branding, labeling, and RFID solutions, will attend EuroShop 2017 and lead a keynote presentation within the omnichannel forum. The company will also showcase its latest innovations in RFID solutions, JanelaTM Smart Product Solutions, designer partnerships, and its printer products series.

Omnichannel Forum Keynote Presentation: The Future of Connected Products is Here - Are You Ready?Avery Dennison will lead a keynote presentation at the Omnichannel Forum on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, 2-2:30pm CET in hall 6, booth I09. Featuring Bill Toney, vice president, Global RFID Market Development, Avery Dennison, the keynote will focus on how IoT is transforming the future of the retail industry, in addition to insights on how RFID is driving omnichannel success, and the impact of connected products on enhancing the consumer experience.

Avery Dennison will enable guests to experience the future of omnichannel retail through a journey of innovative technology. Visitors will discover how optimizing inventory availability with RFID significantly enhances the consumer experience, increases sales, and ultimately drives long-term brand loyalty. The booth will feature:

  • Integrated Solutions for Multiple Industries

Avery Dennison to display several of its latest integrated solutions and innovations for the retail, apparel, beauty, accessories, footwear, and food industries, including: RFID driven omnichannel innovations; in-store price management solutions; and markdown, reticketing, and backroom pricing applications. The latest innovations in RFID inlays demonstrate how the company’s products meet the demands of the retail industry, combining high-density, close-proximity performance with long read-range.

The company will also showcase its latest innovation SmartFlextileTM, an exclusive RFID Integrated printed fabric label, which offers flexibility, a soft touch, and enhanced sustainability features through its proprietary SmartFaceⓇ technology.

Avery Dennison will present its RFID product offering for the food retail industry, demonstrating how RFID increases visibility of stock, and results in approximately a 20 percent reduction in waste and around 99%+ accuracy.

In collaboration with Tyco Retail Solutions, visitors will preview an easy-to-use mobile Fresh Food RFID solution that enables expedient inventory counting, accurate item management, and timely product visibility for the food stock management process. By leveraging Avery Dennison’s food RFID tags and Tyco Retail Solutions’ cloud-based analytics solution for perishable items, like high value, high-theft meat products for example, food retailers are able to gain a clear view of both product availability and remaining shelf life.

  • Innovative Printer Solutions

Avery Dennison will showcase the latest advancement in its Monarch® Freshmarx® series for improved food labeling precision and accuracy, and the Monarch 9419 hybrid printer, which enables applications such as pricing, shelf-labeling, reticketing, and omnichannel order fulfillment. The Pathfinder® handheld “scan, print and apply” solutions for in-store and backroom price marking needs will also be presented, in addition to the ADTP1™ barcode printer and RFID encoder for production of carton and pallet labeling, item-level tracking, and apparel hang tag printing.  

  • Rochambeau Interactive Smart Jacket and Rebecca Minkoff Smart Bag, Featuring JanelaTM Smart Product Solution

Avery Dennison to feature the smart digital jacket via its collaboration with New-York based Rochambeau, a 2016 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalist. Featuring Avery Dennison’s Janela™ solution, powered by EVRYTHNG’s IoT Smart Products Platform and intelligent identity and data management in the cloud, the ‘BRIGHT BMBR’ connected jackets feature interactive and fast response codes and NFC, giving consumers access to exclusive, personalized experiences in dining, art, retail and fashion.
