Avery Dennison, a global leader in Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) enabled solutions, recently announced its partnership with Sport Zone, a Portugal-based sports retailer, on its adoption of RFID.
Avery Dennison launched a pilot with Sport Zone by incorporating RFID solutions in apparel and footwear in two of its stores, which resulted in about 99 per cent stock accuracy, a 92 per cent reduction in stock counting efforts, and a 90 per cent reduction in receiving efforts.
With Avery Dennison's RFID technology, Sport Zone is able to enhance supply chain management and improve the overall retail customer experience.
“This pilot is the beginning of a new era in Sport Zone. The RFID adoption enabled us to deliver a reliable store stock visibility and improves our customer service on the shop floor,” said Miguel Teles, head of supply chain, Sport Zone.
“As a global leader in RFID technology, we are committed to growing our partnership with Sport Zone, helping to elevate its operations, maximise its efficiencies, and improve the consumer experience,” said Francisco Melo, vice president and general manager of global RFID, Avery Dennison. (HO)
